Kasol - A mini Israel

Kasol is a Market in the district  Kullu ,  Himachal Pradesh , northern  India. It is situated in  Parvati Valley , on the banks of the Parvati River , on the way between  Bhuntar  and  Manikaran . It is located 31.2  km from  Bhuntar  and 5 km from  Manikaran. Kasol is the Himalayan hotspot for backpackers. It acts as a base camp for nearby treks like Kheerganga Trek , Malana Trek , Tosh Trek , Kalga Trek , Kutla Trek , Rasol Trek , Chalaal Trek and many more.


How to reach Kasol -
We can take Bus from Delhi to Bhuntar which takes approx 10 hours to reach. Himachal Road Transportation Corporation (HRTC) and Private VOLVO buses are available every evening from Delhi to Bhuntar which costs around 1000 Rupees per traveller. After reaching Bhuntar we have to take HRTC bus from Bhuntar to Kasol which takes approx 02 hours to reach and 60 Rupees per traveller. Nowadays bus services has been started from Delhi to Kasol directly which takes 12-14 hours to reach and 1500 Rupees per traveller.
Suggestion - Travel with VOLVO for comfortable Journey , Mountains have bad roads.


Where to stay in Kasol -
There are several Hotels in Kasol which costs around 1000-8000 per night but trip to Kasol with campaign and bonfire will be more interesting. So we can opt for campaign with bonfire around Chalaal which is situated just opposite side of Kasol connected through a bridge. Jimmy Himalayan Campaign which costs around 500-1500 per night will give you a better experience of campaign on the bank of Parvati River.


Things to do in Kasol -
Trek around Kasol like Kheerganga Trek , Malana Trek , Tosh Trek , Kalga Trek , Kutla Trek , Rasol Trek and many more. We can party around Chalaal with Psychedelic music , Hashish and Israeli people. The place itself will give you a better feel and Peace. We can visit Manikaran to explore hot spring bath and ancient warm cave. Manikaran is situated 2 kms from Kasol.


Travelling around Kasol -
We can take HRTC buses till Manikaran since Manikaran is the last bus stop in Parvati Valley.
We can take Taxi services provided by Taxi union of Kasol or Rent two wheeler.


Things to pack before leaving -
Prefer Rucksack bags instead of Trolley bags which will help you with comfort while trekking , Woollen Clothes , Portable Charger , LED Torch ,  Cash Money since there is lack of ATM in Kasol and ofcourse a bottle of Rum.
